Sean A. Kotkin, MD

Sean A. Kotkin, MD, received his A.B. from Brown University, concentrating his studies on public health. He earned his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine, New York State/American Program of Tel Aviv University where he graduated with the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. Dr. Kotkin completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at The Mount Sinai Hospital, NY. He subsequently remained on faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital.
As a clinical cardiologist, Dr. Kotkin cares for patients with a broad spectrum of complex cardiovascular diseases, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and cardiac arrhythmias. He has a special interest in cardiovascular disease prevention, advanced lipid disorders, and noninvasive cardiovascular imaging. Dr. Kotkin has served as a sub-investigator on several clinical trials evaluating novel lipid lowering pharmacotherapies.
