Dr. Ferrick completed his residency in internal medicine as well as his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. Dr. Ferrick also completed a subspecialty cardiac fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Lenox Hill Hospital/Northwell Health in New York City.  He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and is also board eligible in clinical cardiac electrophysiology.

As an advanced electrophysiologist, Dr. Ferrick focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He has expertise in performing a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, including ablation procedures for atrial fibrillation and other supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, performing laser lead extractions, and implantation of left atrial appendage closure devices such as the Watchman or Amulet.   He implants cardiac defibrillators and pacemakers, including those with direct left bundle conduction system pacing, biventricular pacing and leadless pacemakers.

He is skilled in helping his patients make informed decisions regarding their health, and strongly encourages and builds long-standing physician-patient relationships. Outside of the practice of medicine, Dr. Ferrick enjoys sailing, playing guitar and spending time with his family. He very much looks forward to joining the physicians and staff at Cardiology Associates of New Brunswick/RWJBarnabas Health, and hopes that his career will help support and nurture “the heartbeat” of our central New Jersey community.
